Bass Festival Is Back For October 2019 And This Year, We're Shining A Spotlight On THE FUTURE.

Now In Its 13th Year, Bass Festival has Teamed Up With Two Of Birmingham's Brightest Young Creatives To Curate The Festival And Leave A New Legacy.

 This Year's Curators, Aliyah Hasinah And Rtkal, Will Be Showcasing Exclusively Black Artists, Creatives, Speakers & Performers From Birmingham, The Uk & Beyond. 

Expect Six Days Of Live Music, Workshops, Panel Discussions, Exhibitions And Film Screenings Across Some Of Birmingham's Hidden Venues.

 As Well As An Unveiling Ceremony Of our 'Future Faces Of Birmingham' Mural. Including an Exclusive event featuring

Great British Bake Off's Liam Charles and so much more.

 

The BASHY WEEKENDER ends the festival with Live Music over 2 days from Artists: Jevon, Randy Valentine, Big Zeeks, Cali P, 808INK, Anaïs, Jamie Rodigan, Italo Skarcha, Layfullstop.

Jevon

Born in Mozart, west London, twenty-four-year-old singer-rapper-producer Jevon does it all. Jevon's distinctive sound is a mash up grime, hip hop, R&B, jazz, reggae and just about anything else he can get his hands on. Expect an amazing performance from him at the BASHY WEEKENDER

Big Zeeks

Dj'ing from 13, hosting parties the age 15, Big Zeeks has earnt his name and legacy! 

His catalogue of hits are sure to set the stage on fire!

We're #happy to have him headlining the BASHY WEEKENDER!!

Aleighcia Scott

Aleighcia Scott is a singer songwriter from Cardiff who uniquely blends reggae, soul, R&B and gospel into her music. Her recent EP 'Forever in Love' reached the top 10 of the UK iTunes reggae chart, proving that Aleighcia is currently at the top of her game and continues to rise. Can't wait to see her grace the stage at BASHY WEEKENDER

JAS CRW

JAS CRW is an energetic, afro-urban oriented trio flying over from Zurich, Switzerland!! 

Known for their powerful live shows and a strong desire for progression, JAS CRW is already celebrating successes all over Switzerland, Germany and even Mozam. 

We can't wait for the electrifying set at the BASHY WEEKENDER

We teamed up with one of the UK's biggest Dancehall selectors and one of the most enduring characters on British radio. His talent as a selector has expanded to almost every major city in the UK and Europe. Robbo Ranks hosts, mixes and presents BASS2019 the FUTURE of Reggae.

A 3 part Audio Series, exploring the Future of UK, Female and International Reggae.

We have joined forces with Birmingham's very own TRPHSE for a special club invasion 🛸🖖🏾

Headlining this show is the London based rap duo; 808INK who be pulling up with some exclusive heat from their forthcoming album “Noisy Neighbours “.

Our Curator Aliyah Hasinah brings the HEAUX NOIRE experience to BASS2019!

Listen up as black and brown womxn* share their stories through poetry and music presented by arts platform Heaux Noire.

Heaux Noire presents poets, performers and musicians sharing their stories in a night created to inspire, support and uplift the voices of womxn of colour – come and join us for a night full of melanin. Featured artists include Layfullstop, Anaïs & KMu x Ru and resident DJ M-PRESS.
